Go to the Rock of Christ
“When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”
Psalm 61:2b (NKJV)
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”
Psalm 61:2b (NKJV)
Oh, heart of sorrow and life that has been plunged into the depths of worldly despair, let me bring some sunshine into your life today. There is a place of refuge, a fortress from the storm, and safe harbor ready for you. This place of sure footing is the Rock of Jesus Christ. He brings hope to the helpless, rest for the weary, and healing to the broken in spirit. He is the refreshing water of life. Jesus gives quenches our deepest thirst. He is the fountain of everlasting life. To the woman at the well, He said:
“Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
John 4:13-14 (NKJV)
John 4:13-14 (NKJV)
Drink from the water that Jesus offers. Find your satisfaction in Him. Go to the Rock that is higher than what you are going through.
“The cross upon which Jesus died
is a shelter in which we can hide;
and its grace so free is sufficient for me,
and deep is its fountain—as wide as the sea.”
