Living for a Purpose

“30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.”
Mark 12:30 (HCSB)
Jesus presents us with a hearty meal to feast on in just one short sentence.  Words that encompass one’s entire being.  These words speak to our very identity.  Our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength, who we really are, should be surrendered to the Lord our God.  All that we do should be for the praise and glory of God the Father.
The primary task of the Christian is to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.  Why?  Because it is the very breath of God in our lungs and He deserves no less.  All that we are is His, even our very breath.  He has given life to our bodies.  And not only that, but we have also been bought at a price.  We were once slaves of sin – reaping death, hell, and fear, but now we are slaves of God who are heaven bound – reaping life abundantly, freedom from sin, and fulfilling God’s purposes in and through our lives.
If our identity is entirely in Jesus Christ, than that will be evident to all in the way we live, in the way we love, and in the way we serve.
As you sow seeds of action, may you sow to the Spirit and not the flesh - not reaping the whirlwind, but life everlasting.
“It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise
We pour out our praise
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise to You only”

-“Great are You Lord” by All Sons and Daughters
May you worship the Lord wholeheartedly with every breath you have.

Your brother in Christ,
Aaron R. Force
