He Loves Me Anyway

“8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8 (NKJV)

What an amazing truth that lies before us in these sweet words that tell of God’s unfailing love toward us.  How wonderful it is to know that God knows all my short failures before I ever confess them and He loves me anyway.  In His knowledge of my soiled sinful life, the depth of His love for me has never changed.  This gives me great hope as I come to the throne of grace with an open hand knowing that He knows all and He loves me anyway.

“…how unutterably sweet is the knowledge that our Heavenly Father knows us completely.  No talebearer can inform on us, no enemy can make an accusation stick; no forgotten skeleton can come tumbling out of some hidden closet to abash us and expose our past; no unsuspected weakness in our characters can come to light to turn God away from us, since He knew us utterly before we knew Him and called us to Himself in the full knowledge of everything that was against us.”

Dear reader, He knows you.  He knows all the wrongs you have done and He loves you anyway.  Like the prodigal son, your heart may be dabbling in the poison of the world.  If so, then return to the Father from which you have strayed.  He waits at the door of your heart ready to have sweet fellowship with you once again.  He is ready to run to you.  Do not think that your Father will give you a stone when you ask for the Bread of Life.  Come with open hands to the Father.  Lay your head on His breast and confess your sins to Him.  He knows them already and He loves you anyway.
