So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

Colossians 2:6-7

We follow His leadership by being rooted. He wants us to be firmly grounded so that when trials come our way, we will be firmly planted as a tree by the waters. Built up and strengthened in our faith.
We live for Christ by committing our life and submitting our will to Him. Seeking to learn from Him, His life, His teachings and recognizing the Holy Spirit's power in us.
Through the knowledge of His Word, the leading of His Holy Spirit and obedience can we minister to the women of our congregation and bless them.

Janine Oschner
Janine Oschner was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, and is the ninth of ten children. She was raised in a strict Catholic home, and although very active in her church as a child and a young adult, she gradually fell away from the church, questioning its doctrine and practices, and living a life without an anchor for her soul. Through marital troubles and God’s amazing grace, she and her husband, Ron, found Christian marriage counseling through Calvary Albuquerque and a right relationship with the Lord. Ron and Janine moved to Rio Rancho from Hawaii in 1996 and have two adult children, Mallory and Cody. They have been attending Calvary Rio Rancho since 2001.
Janine is a health care professional and has been employed as an Occupational Therapist for over thirty-five years. Occupational Therapists, or OTs, have expertise in helping their clients regain their functional living skills and maximize their independence after injury, illness, a debilitating condition or a disease process. Janine has worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, hand and upper extremity rehabilitation, work therapy programs, home health care and the school setting. She has also worked as an Occupational Therapy Instructor at Brown Mackie College in Albuquerque.
Janine currently works at Select Physical Therapy in Rio Rancho, treating a variety of shoulder, arm and hand injuries, and also provides Occupational Therapy to Special Education students at a charter school in Albuquerque. She has always derived both personal and professional satisfaction from helping her therapy clients and students improve their functional abilities to be more successful at home, at work and in the community.
Providing instruction in exercise programs is a frequent part of OT treatment. These programs may include exercises to improve posture and breathing, upper body movements, flexibility, strength and balance. Regular exercise for everyone, whether in therapy or not, is beneficial and necessary for maintaining as well as improving wellness, especially as one ages.
Janine will be speaking about the benefits of exercise for improving overall health and providing instruction in specific flexibility and posture exercises at the Women’s Fellowship Breakfast on Saturday, September 28th.
