Cultural Impact Team

Equipping the Body of Christ to stand for righteousness in the public square and influence the culture from a biblical worldview.

“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” - Proverbs 14:3

The CIT Mission:

To preserve and promote a biblical worldview in all spheres of society, culture, and public policy. Our purpose is to monitor social issues and legislation through the lens of scripture. That information is then provided to the pastors and the church body with the goal of educating
and equipping the Body of Christ to be involved in the civic area to have a godly influence on our culture.

We influence our culture through prayer and action.

The CIT Goal:

Inform & Educate Congregation

“My people perish for lack of knowledge.” - Hosea 4:6
“And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace.”
- Jeremiah 29:7

Call To Prayer

“Therefore, I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”
- 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Call To Action

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It
is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are
the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a
lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in
the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and
glorify your Father in heaven.”
- Matt 5:13-16

Upcoming Events:

Some other CIT Ministries:

We have a tremendous opportunity as a church to go into our very own Rio Rancho public schools and share the Good News with children. Through Child Evangelism Fellowship we can host a Good News Club in as many elementary schools as we have volunteers for. Once a week for approximately two hours you can teach a provided curriculum that is fun filled and has a biblical lesson. Each club includes a clear gospel presentation with an opportunity for children to trust in Jesus as their Savior.

This year the NM Legislature passed laws that attacks parental rights concerning healthcare for their children. The current laws state that a teacher or nurses can be fined if they notify parents concerning their child wanting an abortion or even gender re-assignment. We want to get these issues on the 2024 ballot so we can overturn these sinful -child harming laws.

You can go to our front desk at Calvary Rio Rancho and sign this petition now.

Now more than ever, we need to be strong biblical citizens. In this class we will learn how from the very beginning of our country, the founders relied on their Christian moorings and Biblical worldview to secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity. You will be edified and equipped to put your faith into action and practice Biblical Citizenship in America!

Check our events pages for upcoming classes!
