I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior while attending Calvary Albuquerque’s Children’s Ministry. I definitely have had my ups and downs in walking with Christ and it hasn’t been a walk in the park, but He is faithful even in my times of unfaithfulness to Him. I didn’t start taking my walk with the Lord seriously until I was in High School. After riding the fence for a while the Lord impressed upon my heart that I needed to make a decision to fully surrender my life in service to Him or serve the things of this world. I needed to decide who would be master of my life. Needless to say, I decided to give my life completely to Him and have been serving Him every day ever since.eve

Shortly after I started serving at the church as the High School Youth Leader, I married my lovely high school sweetheart, Sarah. Now we have three wonderful children: Madisyn, Judah, and Elizabeth (Ellie).

After I had been working the youth for three years, the Lord called me to another area in church ministry, Administration. In February of 2012 I started preaching on Saturday nights. I was publically ordained as a pastor on May 20, 2012. Due to being very ill in March, 2014 I had to resign from teaching on Saturday nights. I currently serve as the Special Event Coordinator. I look forward to the Lord’s continual healing on my life with eager expectation and to see where and how He wants to use me in the future.

1. What are some of your hobbies?

Racquetball, guitar, soccer, motorcycles, automotive, air soft, board games, and mountain biking. I love spending time with my family, going to the Zoo, hanging out with friends, and reading the Word.

2. What is your favorite book in the Bible?

Ezekiel

3. What is your favorite Bible verse and why?

Psalm 1
1 “Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.
4 Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6 For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.”

When I was in middle school, the mid-high boys would meet at Pastor Robert’s house for Bible study. The first thing he had us memorize was the entire chapter of Psalm 1. I remember thinking, “How am I supposed to memorize a whole chapter?” But with the Lord’s help I did and it has been one of the biggest blessings in my everyday walk with Christ.

4. What is your best childhood memory?

Youth group by far. The highlight of my week was attending mid-high/high school youth group. We played games, got to know people, go on mission trips, retreats, and got to study God’s Word. What could be better?
